ABA Therapy in Arlington, TX and Surrounding Areas
ABA therapy where life happens
We offer autism support at home, at school, and in the community for individuals of all ages.

ABA Therapy, Wherever Life Happens
Learning doesn’t live in one place, and neither do the skills that help children and individuals with ASD thrive. At Sierra Behavioral Therapy (SBT), we believe that therapy works best when it feels like real life. That is why our practice is built on relationships—not formulas or one-size-fits-all programs. We take the time to truly know your child, understand your family’s needs, and honor what matters most to you.

In-Home ABA Therapy
At Sierra Behavioral Therapy, we offer in-home ABA therapy in Arlington and surrounding DFW communities, providing compassionate, individualized support in the place your child feels most comfortable—home.

School-Based ABA Therapy
Our in-school ABA therapy focuses on real-time learning, positive behavior, and curriculum support —always with the goal of helping your child feel successful, included, and supported in their Arlington school community.

Community-Based ABA Therapy
At Sierra Behavioral Therapy, community-based ABA helps children practice meaningful skills in real-life settings—like parks, grocery stores, schools, and neighborhood spaces throughout Arlington and the greater DFW area.

Virtual ABA Therapy
Virtual therapy is a flexible option for families with busy schedules, limited access to in-person services, or a need for additional coaching and support. Virtual ABA therapy allows us to expand beyond the Arlington area, reaching more families.
However your world looks, we’re honored to be part of it.

Who We Serve

ABA Therapy for Toddlers
Our wish is that every child with autism would have access to ABA care before their second birthday. Their little hearts and minds are most impressionable, and the window of opportunity is wide open during these formative years. It is the perfect time to instill connection, communication, motor-skills, and so much more that ABA therapy offers.

ABA Therapy for Kids
Kids are bonkers, and we love them! With or without a diagnosis, they all come with energy, never-ending curiosity, noise, mess, BIG emotions, and innocence. ABA Therapy for children is so much more than skill acquisition. It’s leadership. It’s influence, it’s fun, and it’s transformative.

ABA Therapy for Teens
Being a teenager is hard enough. Add ASD on top of it, and suddenly ABA becomes more than therapy. It becomes a lifeline. We are passionate about empowering teens to own their voice, treat others with respect, and build their independence. We do all of this while keeping it cool- obviously. Duh.

ABA Therapy for Adults
We are about support that respects autonomy, individuality, and lived experience. We work collaboratively with adults on the spectrum, and our goal is to help them meet their goals. Whether it’s managing work, relationships, daily living, or emotional well-being, we are here to help.
Voice of TRUTH From Our Parents

How SBT is Diferent- In a Good Way
The reality is ABA therapy can sometimes feel… very clinical. Clipboards. Checklists. Routines. AI pretending to be humans and diagnosing your children.
That’s not us.
At Sierra Behavioral Therapy, we believe great care happens when real people show up for real families.
We don’t do cookie-cutter treatment plans downloaded from AI. We don’t rush kids (or parents) through one-size-fits-all goals. And we definitely don’t believe progress should feel cold, forced, or joyless.
Instead you'll find-
- Therapists who actually know your child, not just their data points and diagnosis
- Goals that fit your family’s life, culture, and priorities
- Lots of patience, flexibility, and yes… laughter and fun
- A team that partners with you, not lectures you
Bottom line: We’re a small team with big hearts, deep expertise, and a genuine love for what we do. That means fewer “assembly line” vibes and more personalized, thoughtful, human care.
In short:
We take the work seriously, but we don’t forget the joy, connection, and humanity along the way.
Because therapy should feel supportive, not stiff. And progress should feel meaningful, not mechanical. 💛

Frequently Asked
Questions
Is ABA Therapy harmful?
ABA therapy is not harmful when practiced correctly. When therapy remains child-centered and individualized, rooted in respect and dignity, and focuses on meaningful life skills and collaboration with families, ABA therapy is a positive and healthy experience for children and adults on the autism spectrum.
ABA Therapy becomes harmful when it forces compliance, attempts to mask autistic traits, or puts the needs of the caregiver’s expectations above the autistic individual’s well-being.
If you are unsure about the quality of the ABA therapy your loved one is receiving, look for these warning signs:
- Punishment, fear, or coercion is used to force compliance
- The focus is on hiding autistic traits rather than nurturing strengths, supporting meaningful growth, and respecting neurodiversity
- The therapist is disengaged or lazy in their follow-through during sessions, failing to encourage and challenge the child to reach their potential
- Your child becomes distressed (beyond occasional frustration) or fearful during therapy
- You’re not included in decisions or goal setting
Will ABA Therapy try to change who my child is?
ABA therapy, when done right, is not about changing who a child is. It is about supporting who they are. The goal of applied behavior analysis is never to erase or “fix” autism. Healthy and effective ABA Therapy works with autistic individuals and their natural personality to help them acquire life skills, become more independent, and communicate more effectively.
